Public Relations Intern

Brown & Cohen Communications and Public Affairs is looking for new interns to fill internship positions. Duration is a 3-4-month session, full time is preferable.
Intern positions with Brown & Cohen can be completed in exchange for college credit, which can be used to graduate from a program.
**Public relations intern**:
- Drafting content calendars
- Designing visuals using Canva Pro
- Editing videos
- Researching and identifying hashtags and trends
- Conducting research for online engagement opportunities with targeted communities
- Daily community management suggestions
- Compiling analysis reports and drafting client updates
- Researching client-related information
- Drafting media advisories, cover letters, newsletter, and other items as required
- Media list research and development
- Media monitoring
- Other tasks as required
**Public affairs intern**:
- Conduct research on current affairs, background on relevant issues, Queen’s Park Legislative history and opposition views as needed for client campaigns
- Aid in the preparation of advocacy tools and training such as Power Point presentations, leave behinds, backgrounders and handouts
- Other tasks as required
**Skills**:
- Time management abilities
- Excellent writing
- Excellent design capability (for social media position)
- Excellent research skills
- The ability to calmly juggle and meet multiple competing and pressing deadlines
- A sharp eye for detail and a tendency towards the meticulous
- Confident and friendly mannerism
