Quality Control Technician

**Major Responsibilities**:
- Prepare all on-line quality documentation, including preparing labels, prior to production and issuing documentation to each line station.
- Review of production formula and verifying raw materials used.
- Set up the production lot number in accordance to customer specifications.
- Preform ATP swabbing of the production line when required.
- Inspect all equipment to ensure it is clean, in working order, and that no damage is present (a sanitation inspection and an inspection of all plastic items on the line).
- Set up printers and checkweighers to ensure lot coding and weight meets customer specifications.
- Verify with the lead hand that the correct best by and lot information has been printed on the film and shells, and that the correct label or stamp is applied to the master cases.
- Set up the metal detector (CCP) to ensure it is functioning correctly prior to production.
- Verify employees are following GMP procedures upon entering the production line.
- Verify each station for compliance to the issued specifications (e.g., bar weight, bar length, coating, weight of cereal bags etc.).
- Operate and maintain the metal detector (CCP) throughout the production by challenging it every hour. Proper completion of CCP documents is required.
- Inspect the finished product pallet for compliance with specification.
- Complete and collect all production records and submitting them to the QA department after every production.
- Collect retention samples from production in accordance to the retention sample procedure.
- Report any issues or deviations to the lead hand and work with them to find solutions to the issues.
- Report any food safety issues or concerns regarding non-conforming product to the quality assurance department and shall assist in placing products on hold and quality assurance investigations.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the quality assurance department
