Oakridge Landscape Contractors have a need for a Fleet and Yard Superintendent.

**Job Details**:

- ** Position**: Equipment and Yard Superintendent
- ** Reporting to**: Company President.
- ** Location**:Hamilton, Ontario.
- ** Compensation**: $85,000.
- Benefits are offered immediately.
- Laptop, Company Vehicle, Company iPhone.

**Responsibilities**:

- Vehicle and equipment assignment.
- Schedule in-house deliveries including the floating of equipment, the pickup of various materials, delivery of soils etc.
- Manage Yard and Tool Crib staff, soil production staff, OLC truck drivers, and Bulk.
- Assist in hiring, evaluating, promoting, and dismissing related staff.
- Arrange in-house (and subcontract) float moves of equipment for job sites.
- Work along with the Project Manager and Superintendent in order to ensure prompt delivery of equipment and materials to the site.
- Ensure systems are in place to control the inventory and protect OLC assets.
- Conduct equipment circle check audits on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that soil blends are prepared as needed.
- Order materials for blending (peat, compost, sand, etc).
- Assign equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- A strong understanding of safe and proper use of construction equipment.
- G License (DZ/AZ is an asset) with a clean Driver's Abstract is required.
- Knowledge of all local transportation laws, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of fleet operations, policies, and procedures, including the operation and maintenance of various types of motorized equipment.
