We are currently seeking an inner-city maintenance worker/laborer to assist with various
tasks in and around the East Village in downtown Calgary.

In your roll you will:

- Follow the direction of Crew Leader
- Various litter and debris removal
- Biohazard removal (sharps, human waste etc.)
- Bathroom re stocking and maintenance
- Graffiti removal
- Public interaction, and engagement
- Garbage receptacle changes
- Snow removal
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Use of Safety Apps, and various apps required for the job
- Two-way communication
- Event set up and take down.
- Use of tools/equipment/supplies to assist with:

- General Labor
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean up & dispose of refuse.
- Abandoned encampment clean up
- Keen eye for detail, and deficiencies in assets
- Ability to stay on schedule and follow routes and delegation
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
- Participate in Health and Safety. Incident reporting, Practice workplace safety and use all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

The position is full time on a rotating schedule running 4 days on, 4 days
off. The shift is 12 hours per day 7:00am - 7:00pm. 44+ hours a
week on a banked time system (averaging agreement). Direct deposit paid weekly. This
position requires a lot of walking and a keen eye for detail. Experience is an asset. Must
be punctual, accountable, honest, and can work well under pressure. Must take
direction well, be able to document all tasks in a digital tracking app. The position is
year-round.
In the winter, on snow days you are required to manually shovel.
