**Line Cook**

As a Line Cook your primary focus will be to prepare and present food using standardized recipes and portion sizes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the quality of food is outstanding _each and every time_ and items are produced quickly and efficiently with pride and attention to detail
- Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment in a clean, sanitized state
- Perform all opening and closing assignments as instructed
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using recipes for cooking in grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Prepare items for grilling, frying sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
- Stock inventory appropriately and set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Dishwashing, as required.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and policies & procedures
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience cooking and handling food in a high-volume casual dining restaurant is a definite asset
- Experience in grilling steaks and other protein
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
