General Manager

**Job Summary**
Body + Soul Fitness is looking for a passionate, hardworking, caring, and supportive General Manager to join the Body + Soul Fitness team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a growing organization.
- At least 5 years of personal training experience and a proven track record of achieving training results with clients.
- At least 3 years of management experience, a proven track record of growing a team, and achieving business results.
- A strong technical training background.

We have a long and strong history of promoting personal trainers from within our organization in to management roles. We will not hire people directly in to management roles from outside of Body + Soul Fitness. If you are right for this role, you’ll understand why we do this.

We are embarking on a period of rapid growth, and will be opening many more locations in the coming years, which is why we would like experienced people to join our team today. You would be starting as a personal trainer so that you can master our systems, show that you can be a successful personal trainer, build relationships with the members and the team, become immersed in our culture, and grow in to a management role at Body + Soul Fitness.

The kind of person we are looking for is likely in a management role now, but feels stagnant, or doesn’t see the potential to grow further with the organization they are working with. Or perhaps you miss being able to personal train clients or grow other personal trainers in a way that aligns with your values.

You have an opinion, aren't afraid to share it, but are also open to listening to and learning from others. You are firm, but fair, caring, yet candid, supportive, and all of the other attributes that come along with being an effective leader.

**A general manager is expected to**:

- Partner with the Regional Manager, to achieve both the Club’s financial goals and Body + Soul Fitness’s client experience goals.
- Hire, develop and retain Personal Trainers capable of meeting rigorous standards for training delivery, providing an exceptional client experience and building a personal training clientele.
- Work, in cooperation with the Director of Personal Training, to rapidly upskill new Trainers and to ensure that all Trainers maintain a high standard of training knowledge and awareness of current practices.
- Model behaviours that are in accordance with the values of Body + Soul Fitness and ensure that their team is held accountable to demonstrate behaviours associated with those same values.
- Maintain a personal training clientele, with training not to exceed 240 hours per quarter.

**Compensation**:

- Your compensation will consist of a base for management plus bonuses and an hourly rate based on personal training hours that you complete.
- Personal training rate is $38.78 - $57.87 per hour plus bonuses.
- Total compensation as a manager is $75,000 - $110,000 or more per year.

- Funding to put towards continuing education.
