Under the direction of the Real Estate Services Supervisor, the Property Appraiser is responsible for overseeing the Employee
Relocation Program, giving recommendations for the disposal of properties, as well as performing complex land and property-related
duties associated with the Corporation's Secondary Land Use program.
**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Under the direction of supervisors and management, coordinate and administer the Corporation's Secondary Land Use
Program.
- Oversee the Property Department's role in the Employee Relocation Program and appraise residential properties.
- Provide guidance and advice on the purchase and sale of residential properties.
- Working independently, with direction from supervisors and management, manage a variety of property-related processes,
- documents and agreements for a wide range of projects and in some cases complex and historical matters.- Liaise with Corporate clients, external contractors and Land Titles Offices by analyzing problems, interpreting information and
providing recommendations to assist in settling land-related claims, securing land rights, completing leases and property
purchases, facilitating secondary land use requests and promoting surplus land sales.
- Provide functional guidance and support to drafting and mapping personnel with respect to the preparation of documents,
drawings and titles and historical research.
- Participate as a Corporate representative in meetings and hearings with municipal councils, government agencies and interest
groups.
- Coordinate the disposition of surplus properties, including circulation, environmental processes, reporting, marketing, offers
and counter-offers, legal requirements, and corporate approval processes.
- Research and provide recommendations on compensation guidelines and corporate policy.
- Coordinate, oversee and provide direction to external contractors and real estate agents, including contract management.
**_ Qualifications:_**
- Minimum grade 12 education plus a Canadian Residential Appraisal (CRA, P.App), Designated Appraiser Residential (DAR),
or equivalent designation is a required.
- Five years of directly related experience in residential appraisals.
- Ability to keep confidential information secure and possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work well with other staff, management, internal parties and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and a high degree of judgment and discretion, the ability to organize and prioritize work, and to
- produce complex, comprehensive reports.- Demonstrated ability to work with electronic office support systems and computer software including SAP, and Microsoft

**_ Salary Range_**
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $34.12 - $47.21 Hourly /
$65,378.56 - $90,463.88 Annually.
