As the Lead Trainer you are responsible for overseeing all Warehouse training. You will be required to develop, maintain and execute training and orientation plans for all warehouse tasks. You will also oversee the other Trainers and be responsible for all scheduling. The various warehouse managers will work daily to coach and assist the Trainers on the duties regularly performed to ensure safe, consistent, efficient and clear expectations are understood.

**Shift**: Day shift with availability to accommodate afternoons and evenings occasionally.

**Please note**: The Lead Trainer may need to cover a shift lead or production specialist in the event that they are absent for an extended period of time.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and coordinate all warehouse training - new hire and cross-training
- Oversee and manage the training team
- Develop training material for all warehouse tasks, including (but not limited to) picking, sorting, packing, shipping, parcel sorting, inventory maintenance/quality control and receiving
- Ensure that all warehouse associates and training materials comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Offer ongoing peer to peer coaching on all areas for improvement
- Develop and instruct regular, ongoing group workshops for each warehouse task
- Ensure that all warehouse associates are aware of and understand the key metric within each task
- Ensure that all training materials are documented, up to date and readily accessible for all warehouse staff
- Make ongoing recommendations to management staff for process improvement
- Make ongoing recommendations to management staff for improvements to tools and equipment
- Monitor all daily tasks, offering immediate coaching to warehouse staff when needed
- Ensure that proper materials, carton and bag sizes are being utilized during the packing stage
- Collaborate with Human Resources during the onboarding process of new warehouse staff to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all employees
- Act as an ongoing and accessible resources for all warehouse employees
- Rotate through all warehouse jobs on a weekly basis to ensure training is relevant and accurate
- Work a flexible schedule in order to support all trainers and all shifts
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Experience managing a team
- Knowledge of all processes in the warehouse
- Able to deliver feedback, coaching and deliver training
- Experience using all MS packages, such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly organized
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and team -minded
- Able to work flexible hours

**Working Environment**:

- This position requires extended periods of walking and or standing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
