**THE ROLE**

We are looking for an individual that is a highly skilled and detail-oriented; someone who excels at multitasking. This individual will be responsible for bookkeeping and account reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, payroll assistance, month-end wrap up and reporting, assisting the Senior Accountant and Senior Management.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist with the sales and A/R process, including sales invoice generation, reconciliation against client sales contracts, follow up on aged A/R and discrepancy reconciliation and resolution with clients.
- Assist with expense and A/P process, including review of vendor statements, follow through and ensure any discrepancies are researched and resolved with vendor.
- Regular bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Assist with month end and year end reporting requirements, including preparation of journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting for management
- Assist with regular payroll and payroll tax remittances
- Assist with regular sales tax returns
- Assist with CRA audits and communication
- Assist with ad hoc reconciliations, variance analysis, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Assist senior accountant and senior management in the annual budget and forecast process

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum College Diploma in business or related, with a specialization in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role (construction industry experience would be an asset)
- An understanding of full cycle accounting
- Experience with reconciliations, month end closing, financial statements, and sales tax compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills is a must
- Experience with Jonas Software would be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,273.00-$47,560.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
