**Job Summary**:
The Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products. This role involves monitoring the extrusion process, adjusting settings, ensuring product specifications are met, and conducting routine maintenance tasks. The Extrusion Machine Operator plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and overall safety within the manufacturing facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and prepare extrusion machinery for operation by loading raw materials and adjusting equipment settings based on product specifications
- Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic products according to established standards and guidelines
- Monitor the extrusion process closely, making real-time adjustments to equipment settings to maintain product quality and output efficiency
- Conduct regular quality checks on products being produced to ensure they meet required specifications and standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or malfunctions that may arise during the production process to minimize downtime
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on extrusion machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- Collaborate with the production team to coordinate material supply and ensure a steady flow of raw materials to the extrusion machines
- Maintain accurate production records, including product counts, machine settings, and maintenance activities, to track productivity and identify opportunities for improvement
- Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment and minimize workplace hazards
- Assist in training new team members on the operation and maintenance of extrusion equipment

**Qualifications & Attributes**:

- Proficient in English, Mandarin & Cantonese.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in machine operation and maintenance is a plus
- Proven experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex machinery
- Knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality output in a timely and efficient manner
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and address operational issues quickly
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members and supervisors
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks associated with the role
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
