Event Assistant, Truck Driver and Planner

Ellssi Design & Rentals is a boutique event rental company based in Vancouver.

We are looking for event assistants with lots of energy and drive, who can execute tasks with a positive and friendly demeanour.

The positions include the delivery, setup, and takedown of events, including wedding, corporate, holiday and private events.

**Schedule**

Shifts are available on weekends, select weekdays and late nights. Shift hours may be split within the day with a combination of morning, afternoon, evening and late night shift.

**What You'll Do**
- Carefully packing and repacking of rental items
- Loading and unloading the truck at the warehouse and the venue
- Event setup including ceremony arches and decor, tables capes, lounge areas, draping, chair covers, lighting and signage
- Communicate directly with the lead designer on site
- Execute the setup of an event according to the design plans

**Who We Are Looking For**
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and walk up flights of stairs
- Have flexibility in your schedule
- Ability to adapt should plans change on site
- Motivated to work quickly and efficiently in a high pressure environment
- Experience in the wedding and event industry a bonus

**Considerations**
- Must be available to work a combination of shifts including evenings, late nights, weekends, weekdays and holidays
- Team assistants are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
- Working outdoors in all types of weather
- Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool
- Must be able to provide your own transportation and be prepared to drive throughout the Lower Mainland and as far north as Whistler

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
