Madeleine Design Group (MDG) is an internationally award-winning interior design firm creating distinctive spaces through thoughtful design, collaboration, and innovation. We’re looking for a **Sales & Client Relations Specialist** to help us grow our network, develop new business, and maintain lasting partnerships across the design and construction industries.
**What You’ll Do**:
**Client Relations & Business Development**
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, contractors, architects, and developers
- Maintain and grow existing client and industry connections
- Lead initial calls with potential clients, prepare proposals, and follow up on opportunities
- Attend and represent MDG at networking events
- Actively engage with industry professionals through LinkedIn and in-person meetings (lunches, coffees, presentations, etc.)
**Project & Design Coordination (Semi-Custom Design Packages)**
- Oversee projects, including concept packages, space planning, specifications, and permit/construction documentation as needed
- Lead junior designers by delegating tasks and reviewing all project work for projects
- Coordinate procurement of materials, fixtures, and furnishings through QBO and Studio Designer for all projects
- Manage subcontractors and external professionals involved in projects
**Finance & Operations Support**
- Maintain and update monthly forecasting sheets
- Review financial reports and project performance with directors
- Support the creation and maintenance of design templates and operational efficiencies
**Marketing & Brand Development**
- Collaborate on award submissions, photo shoots, and marketing campaigns
- Plan and execute mail-outs and marketing initiatives aligned with our yearly strategy
**Who We’re Looking For**:
- Minimum **5+ years of sales or business development experience** (preferably in the design, architecture, or construction industry)
- A **self-starter** with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Someone who thrives on **collaboration, creativity, and innovation**:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and confident in managing multiple priorities
- Comfortable using **CRM tools, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Studio Designer** (experience an asset)
