Lumber Yard Associate

Ladysmith Home Hardware Building Centre is looking to ad a Lumber Yard Attendant to it's team

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Safely operates equipment as required for efficient yard operation.
- Assist customers with product information
- Customer Service, load materials, fills orders, assist customers
- Report inventory requirements to appropriate department manager
- Assist with unloading and delivery schedules.
- Work on any special projects assigned by Store Manager, after determining their priority in relation to your other duties.
- Treat company’s property, vehicles & inventory with respect, care & safety
- Stock all products in a neat and timely manner

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma
- Fork lift certification
- Able to move heavy materials (up to 90 lbs) to or from the yard, placing them on or removing them from trucks, pallets, etc.
- Able to work outdoors

**Salary**: $17.50-$20.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Ladysmith, BC V9G 1N8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
