**Job Purpose and Overview**:Life After Impact: Rebuilding Lives after Gender-Based Violence and Concussion is a unique, interdisciplinary program designed to support individuals who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV) and sustained a concussion or brain injury. These invisible injuries can severely affect an individual’s ability to maintain employment, manage daily responsibilities, and live independently. This program provides wrap-around, individualized support to help participants regain autonomy, rebuild economic security, and improve quality of life.

Working under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer and/or designate, the Project Lead/Registered Social Worker in collaboration with the project team will meet this need by researching, developing, delivering, coordinating, and evaluating the program. This leadership role includes both strategic oversight and direct support to clients. The Project Lead will work collaboratively with an Occupational Therapist, a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, and the Program and Outreach Coordinator to ensure the program meets the unique needs of individuals across Ontario.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

**1. Leadership & Program Oversight**
- Lead the implementation and administration of the Life After Impact program, ensuring alignment with trauma-informed, client-centered, and equity-focused principles.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary service delivery and foster effective communication across the team.
- Oversee recruitment of participants and ensure smooth onboarding and individualized care planning.
- Oversee and contribute to the development and refinement of online asynchronous training modules and virtual group curriculum.
- Recruit and work with the advisory committee to ensure programming is grounded in lived experience, culturally relevant, and evidence-informed.
- Supervise ongoing program evaluation and outcome tracking.
- Collaborate with OBIA’s Communications and Outreach team to support promotion and community engagement.

**2. Program Development and Implementation**
- Collaborate with the project team to research, develop, and implement an accessible, evidence-informed support program exploring topics including financial literacy, vocational skills, health literacy, mental health and coping strategies, relationships and communication for individuals with GBV-related concussion/brain injury.
- Hosts educational webinars about the program to increase awareness about the program and recruit participants with GBV-related concussions/brain injuries.
- Identify mental health, social, and systemic challenges affecting recovery and community reintegration.
- Develop a tailored trauma-informed mental health support strategy.

**3. Direct Support & Clinical Responsibilities**
- Conduct virtual psychosocial assessments and offer short-term, trauma-informed counselling.
- Provide case coordination and connect participants with housing, legal, health, financial, and crisis support services.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate virtual groups focused on mental health, relationships, and personal development.
- Assist participants in navigating complex systems (e.g., ODSP, OW, shelters) and advocating for their rights.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (social worker and vocational specialist) to coordinate support plans.
- Identify when participants require additional support or specialized intervention and provide referrals to OBIA Support Services or external providers as appropriate.
- Document participant progress and outcomes.

**4. Training & Capacity Building**
- Assist in designing and delivering training for community organizations and service providers on GBV-related concussion/brain injury.
- Contribute to knowledge mobilization efforts to share project learnings and best practices across sectors.

**5. Community Engagement and Collaboration**
- Actively support recruitment and outreach by engaging with community partners, shelters, and GBV-serving organizations across Ontario.

**6. Other**
- Assume such other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or designate.

**Qualifications**
- Masters of Social Work (required).
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with individuals affected by gender-based violence, brain injury, trauma, or complex mental health needs.
- Demonstrated leadership or project coordination experience in a health, social service, or nonprofit setting.
- Strong knowledge of case management, system navigation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
