Quality Control Technician

Main Responsibilities
- Performs quality checks on the production line following procedures and frequencies, immediately reporting deviations
- Helps trouble shooting and solve problems related to the quality of the product
- Collects and prepares samples for analysis of raw ingredients, in-process, and finished goods to ensure quality and food safety
- Ensures that microbial results are within specifications and regulations
- Assists production to investigate product on HOLD
- Provides quality support to production team and collaborates to seek continuous quality improvements
- Actively participates in all required customer complaints and internal investigations
- Creates Standard Operating Procedures, records and assists to modify and improve existing procedures
- Creates and evaluates data noting deviations from existing standards
- Maintains calibration of quality control equipment
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all departments within the Organization
- Participates in internal and external audits as required
- Provides training for production team related to quality and record keeping
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager, to support production and the quality management system

**Salary**: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Food manufacturing facility as Quality Control Technician: 3 years (preferred)
- microbiology, environmental and utility monitoring: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- GFSI certification (preferred)
