The Quality Technician is a key support role in the Quality department. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Understand, promote and follow the customer specific standards and specs.
  • Assist in the PPAP/FAI process by collecting data through part measurement and inspection
  • Interpret prints of all active P/N's
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of inspection tools (e.g.; calipers and micrometers) and measuring practices.
  • Complete First and last off inspection of all active P/N's
  • Perform in-process inspection of all active P/N's
  • Complete final inspection/Dock audits
  • Complete raw material receiving inspection as per current Quality Plans and Processing specifications
  • Verify, identify, control and carry out dispositions for all non-conforming materials
  • Issue internal NCRs as required
Additional Skills / Requirements
  • Formal experience or education in Quality would be a strong asset
  • Above average Print/drawing understanding
  • GD&T knowledge would be an asset
  • Above average CMS understanding.
  • Computer skills that demonstrate computer Literacy and proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a passion for detail and accuracy.
  • Observant with a high attention to detail.
  • Working math skills.
  • Good understanding of CpK and gage R&R.
  • Knowledge of Fishbone diagrams and 8D completion.
  • Strong problem solving skills
