Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Project Coordinator (Engineer in Training) will support the Project Manager and/or Site Superintendent with the construction of this project. We are seeking individuals who thrive on challenge, responsibility and growth. The project team is essentially the “face” of Bird Construction as they are the main point of contact for all parties involved in the execution of a project (i.e. clients, subcontractors, the public).

This position is based in Mississauga, ON and onsite.

**Responsibilities**:
- Maintenance and distribution of contemplated change orders, change directives, requests of information, change orders and site instructions.- Provide site information and inspection reports to the Safety and QA/QC Managers.- Scheduling of subcontractors and third-party inspection in conjunction with the Superintendent and Project Manager.- Organization of site coordination meetings as well as the capturing and distribution of minutes.- Complete shop drawing submittals and tracking.- Ensure site specific deliverables are tracked.- Expedite required information and deliverables from consultants, subcontractors and owners.- Administer deficiency punch lists in conjunction with site superintendent and QA/QC manager.- Create site purchase orders.- Ensure Superintendents have updated information (binders, logs, shop drawings etc.)- Superintendent and Project Manager support.

What We Are Looking For- Educational background in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator/Field Engineer and currently pursuing their P.Eng designation- Strong computer skills in such areas as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).- Proficiency in MS Office is required as well as being familiar with FTP sites and other file sharing platforms would be an asset- You are able to work well with others in a team environment and contribute to the team in an efficient, effective and positive manner- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals- Able to work independently- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups- Strong written and oral communication skills- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them- Strong organization, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
