**Student Life Coordinator (Richmond)**

**Position Purpose and Summary**

The vision of Trinity Western University is to equip every graduate to think truthfully, act justly, and live faithfully for the good of the World and the glory of God. Our students are learning within the context of an increasingly diverse community engaging on multiple campuses and online as part of a global Christian University. They face significant challenges like dystopia, distraction, and disintegration, loneliness and mental health challenges, further enhanced by cultural adaptation realities as international students. The Richmond Student Life Coordinator works closely with the Associate Director of Student Life Richmond and student leaders to provide engagement through demographically effective initiatives, relevant learning and strategic ministry experiences at TWU’s Richmond sites. The Student Life Coordinator works strategically to build community, foster spiritual growth and support holistic wellbeing for all Richmond students and student leaders.

**Key Areas of Accountability**
- Organizes and executes successful and purpose-filled student events; finding appropriate methods and activities to attract and meet the spiritual and relational needs of international students.
- Provides additional support in increasing overall student connection and engagement by modelling personal care and friendship where opportunities present themselves.
- Provides individual student leader mentoring and coaching, as well as reporting and statistical tracking for student club and campus-wide events and activities year-round.
- Coordinates and hosts semesterly new student Orientations for IDC (with support for MAL/MBA), including multiple class visits during term-starts.
- Oversees TWU Richmond social media channels, and gives guidance to other Student Life staff to provide administrative and logístical support for campus events, including weekly TV signage and promotional material production.
- Acts as point-person for individual student care, support and follow-up, including those with extra needs (Wellness Centre, Housing, employment, spiritual, emergency situations, culturally-specific situations and others).
- Hosts Richmond guests and supports campus events as needed. Oversees petty cash and student club reimbursements.
- Supports Richmond crisis management, with willingness to be accessible outside of office hours to respond to security concerns or on-site emergencies.
- Serves as a team player within TWU Richmond and Student Life assisting to accomplish the mission of the Student Life Department and affirming values of TWU Richmond by being hungry (to learn), hospitable and hopeful.

- Student Life staff based in Richmond campus locations may also have the Executive Director of TWU-R speak into operational issues as needed and as it impacts the overall culture of TWU Richmond_.

**Standards & Requirements**

**Education**:

- BA degree in related field or equivalent experience.

**Experience**:

- At least one year of leadership in a Christian ministry or significant involvement in student ministry required. Previous ministry to university students in the area of discipleship/outreach ministries preferred.
- Intercultural training and experience working with international students is an asset.
- Duties and res
