**General Purpose**

The School of Engineering (SOE) delivers seven unique majors within the Bachelor of Engineering program, each of which must meet stringent academic requirements to ensure ongoing accreditation by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Under the leadership of the IQAP, Accreditation & GA Manager, this pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that undergraduate degrees offered by the SOE meet the continuously evolving and increasing accreditation standards. This position supports the coordination of the Graduate Attributes and Curriculum Improvement Process (GACIP). The GACIP acts as the foundation of ongoing program improvements and is required by the CEAB as the critical component of the accreditation process. An important aspect of this role will be to support program curriculum development and improvement of all seven B.Eng programs. The incumbent will engage in data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as report writing for both internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, this role supports in the quality assurance of the SOE’s graduate programs, comprised of approximately 300 Masters and Ph.D students, through the Institutional Quality Assurance Process required by the University Senate. In conjunction with the Associate Director Graduate Studies, the incumbent evaluates and prepares all necessary data and documentation and presents the data through written reports.

Additional responsibilities include the yearly completion and submission of academic reporting to Engineers Canada, including individual undergraduate and graduate program reports related to enrollment; scholarships and awards; faculty appointments; and graduation data.

**Requirements**:

- An undergraduate degree in any discipline is preferred, or a College diploma related to office administration and 1-2 years of previous experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In depth knowledge of an Academic Accreditation or Quality Assurance process (such as the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board)
- Knowledge of the Engineering GACIP (graduate attribute and curriculum improvement process) is an asset.
- Proven ability to think, analyse and present complex learning attributes and outcomes in a concise and accurate format.
- Familiarity with concepts inherent to learning outcomes-based education.
- Familiarity with Colleague, learning management systems (CourseLink), database management, peer assessment (PEAR), spreadsheets (Excel).
- Knowledge of university systems would be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
