Are you looking to transfer your front desk hotel experience to a luxury independent property? Hotel Grand Pacific is looking for an additional Guest Services Agent to join our team. Proudly affiliated with Preferred Hotels and Resorts, our large hotel is located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour in the heart of the city’s tourist zone.

This position required working more than 30 hours per week. Shift times will vary between mornings and evenings and will include weekends.

**Duties**:

- Greet all guests in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Complete room blocking procedures and prepare accurate pre-arrival packages.
- Perform accurate and efficient check in/check out procedures.
- Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate through use of upselling techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to assist hotel visitors in order to minimize inconveniences and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Perform accurate billing procedures and cash-outs.
- Support in-house operations by accurately completing daily reports.
- Other duties as assigned by Front Office management.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- At least 1 year of front desk or reservations experience in a full-service hotel
- Post-secondary training in Hospitality Management an asset
- Experience with Opera PMS software preferred
- Professional, welcoming, and enthusiastic demeanour
- Positive and effective verbal & written communication skills
- Eager to learn with a conscientious attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to maintain composure, professionalism, and organization during rush periods
- Takes initiative to maintain high standards of personal presentation at all times
- Solid knowledge of Victoria and the surrounding area
- Second language is an asset
- Comfortable standing at a desk on a continual basis
