Hudson Restoration Inc is a full-service restoration contractor with locations in Toronto, Mississauga, Markham, London and Orillia (Muskoka). With the recent opening of our **Decontamination Depot / Content Cleaning Facility in Orillia** we are looking for a **Cleaning Technician** to join our team. Working under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Cleaning / Contents Technician’s essential functions are as follows: - Comprehensive understanding of Customer Service principles and practices of the Cleaning Division, including operation of specialized equipment (training provided) and chemicals. - Cleaning, laundering and deodorizing of items to be processed in our state-of-the-art facility. - Test cleaning when required with documented results for review. - Ability to efficiently work with little or no supervision. - Monitor and maintain customer service desk in the Decon Depot. - Ability to learn and use company software for inventorying items (training provided). - Process, clean, inventory, pack and box cleaned items for transport back to storage. - Disassembling and reassembling items for specialized cleaning as required. - Maintaining a at end of day of the facility including adjoining offices. - Maintain and order cleaning material inventory and advising proactively of needed chemicals, supplies, etc. - Clean and maintain company drying equipment (DH’s fans, etc.) when returned from jobsite. Using company software, return equipment into "available equipment" inventory. - Lend assistance to the Emergency & Construction Services division for site cleaning when required. - Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines. - Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets and storage of cleaning chemicals. - Ensure Health & Safety company policies are adhered to at all times. - Ability to work as a contributing team member or independently as needed. - Strong written and verbal communication skills as an active team member. - Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. - Open the facility at 8:00 am and close at 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch break. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday - Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted - Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending and kneeling - Periodic travel may be required with company supplied vehicle Qualifications: - 2+ years - Cleaning / Restoration experience preferred - Basic computer experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook - required - Clean driving record and backgroud check - References required Remuneration: $20 / Hr to start with review after 6 months. **Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent Expected start date: March 1, 2025 (Flexible) **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Overtime Ability to commute/relocate: - Orillia, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) **Education**: - Secondary School (required) **Location**: - Orillia, ON (required) Work Location: In person
