**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Supervise and direct personnel in the truck driving an shipping/ receiving departments to comply with company procedures and guidelines
- Supervise the activities of the shipping/ receiving department to ensure timely actions, proper stock rotation are achieved with maximum efficiency and utilization
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedule on truck fleet and take corrective action as necessary to have unscheduled repairs completed
- Plan daily routes and schedules according to customer locations and volumes, and adjusting as required.
- Coordinate external carriers as necessary to meet delivery requirements
- Coordinate HPP movements between internal plants and outside sources
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Act, including responsibilities for general housekeeping
- Work with Customer Service and Quality Assurance to facilitate returns, per SOP
- Maintain pallet control program
- Coordinate receiving appointments with customers as needed
- Oversee inbound/ outbound loads are accurate and meet shipping requirements

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Post - Secondary education, and/ or a combination of relevant experience and education
- Ability to work daily from 6:00AM -2:30PM
- Minimum of 3 years of previous leadership experience in directly managing a team to meet daily objectives
- Thorough knowledge of logistic processes
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal; with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization
- Experience in coaching, delegating and disciplining employees
- Mandatory lift truck license
- Strong attention to detail including analytical, observational and time management skills
