Rivercity Inclusion Society is looking for an overnight Residential Care Worker to work from 11:00pm to 7:00am, four days on and four days off. During this awake shift, the incumbent will assist residents and ensure their safety throughout the night. When not supporting the clients, the Residential Care Worker will clean, do laundry, update records and prepare meals.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- First Aid and CPR (2 day course)
- Negative TB test results
- Criminal Record Check
- Food Safe Certification
**QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS**
- Human Services Worker Certification or equivalent.
- Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset.
- Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging and aggressive behaviour.
- Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and mental illness.
- Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.95 per hour
Expected hours: 28.08 per week
