**The Role**

**A day in the life**
- Safety
- Ensure safe unloading and loading of various tools, materials and equipment as they arrive and depart Bronte yard
- Contribute and manage to the overall cleanliness of the yard
- Report any health and safety concerns immediately
- Equipment Operation
- Drive small construction equipment, including, but not limited to, skid steer and mini excavator, etc.
- Ensure loads are secured properly with straps while transporting, which includes various-sized machines and materials.
- Oversee and Ensure the safe operation of various trucks and trailers as required.
- Logistics
- Organize and direct daily activities of Delivery Drivers, which includes all yard deliveries of Equipment, Assets and Materials to suppliers and job sites
- Update and manage Asset Panda, Cloud Hawk and various truck/equipment diagnostic software.
- Communication
- Build and nurture relationships with employees.
- Regularly communicate with team members, supervisor, and site crew to accomplish set goals. Be a team player.
- Follows directions from supervisor
- Human Resource Management
- Hiring and active management of Drivers, including performance expectations, reviews and discipline etc
- Facilitate Asset Panda Training for new Supers and Foreman - Onboarding New drivers, including verification of job competency, training on Bronte safety best practices, etc.
- Oversee and manage the opening and closing of the yard / shop each day
- Fleet Management
- CVOR, MTO, local and regional annual wide load permits, new & renewal of vehicle licenses, insurance
- Collect various information for equipment, tool and vehicles, including sourcing and providing direction on asset repairs and maintenance staff.
- Security
- Liaison with Caliber. Ensure all Company Assets are secure and safe at the yard
- Documents Control
- Ensure all required documents are up to date and inside each company asset (Heavy Equipment Manuel / Truck Paperwork.
- Facility Management
- Ensure building/shop and yard infrastructure, which includes utilities (water, hydro, lighting etc) are up to date and functioning.
- May perform other related assigned tasks as required.
