Parker Hannifin Canada is offering an exciting opportunity for a **Digital - IT Intern** at our Milton, Ontario head office. This role will focus on impactful projects that support our operations across Parker Canada.
**Position Summary**
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience at the intersection of supply chain management and information technology, with a strong focus on automation. You will work on diverse projects spanning systems development and end-user/help desk support, with a focus on supply chain process improvements. Collaborating with professionals across multiple departments, you will develop technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and business insights, while contributing to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency through automation and data-driven decision-making.
**Start Date**:The start date for this role will be September 2025, for a duration of 12 months.
**Responsibilities**
**Systems Development & Automation**:
- Utilize data visualization and automation tools like Power BI and Power Automate to create insightful reports and automate repetitive processes within the supply chain.
- Support the integration and optimization of electronic processing systems to improve supply chain workflows.
**Supply Chain Operations & Continuous Improvement**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, engineering, accounting, quality, and marketing to support supply chain initiatives.
- Take ownership of assigned projects related to continuous improvement, vendor management, and automation within supply chain processes.
- Monitor supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze performance data, and escalate issues or abnormalities to management. Prepare and analyze reports summarizing business activities and project statuses to support informed decision-making.
**Collaboration & Learning**:
- Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster innovation.
- Engage in problem-solving activities and lean enterprise initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.
**Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to understand supply chain practices and identify automation opportunities.
- Proficiency or familiarity with programming and data tools such as C#,.NET, Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience or knowledge of supply chain systems such as Ariba, SAP, and Logility is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
