The Marketing and Communications team at GS1 Canada is looking for a passionate, experienced Content Writer to help develop creative, compelling content to support our work as strategic industry partners in the Healthcare, Pharmacy, Grocery and Foodservice sectors. Your mastery with words, eye for detail and exceptional communication skills will support our industry value propositions and reinforce the value of GS1 Canada and GS1 standards through creative storytelling that resonates with a wide range of target audiences. **WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Develop clear, concise copy using a variety of writing styles and storytelling that resonates with a range of target audiences - from board members, government and small businesses to grocery, foodservice, healthcare and pharmacy stakeholders, and more
- Develop guidelines, enablement tools and processes in partnership with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to support the development of engaging, consistent communications
- Lead and project manage identified corporate communications initiatives, including newsletters
- Ensure all copy and content maintains a clear and consistent brand voice, adheres to our language and writing guidelines, is grammatically correct and free from spelling errors
- Measure and analyze data and results to develop insights and inform future communications
- Support the Marketing and Communications team through review and editing of other written materials

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:

- An ability to take complex language and transform into clear, concise copy that resonates with target audiences.
- Experience doing research using multiple sources and a proactive, creative approach for sourcing relevant information to support or strengthen content
- Proficiency with content analytics and optimization
- An ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and work independently in a high-demand and fast-paced environment
- Strong SEO writing skills and ability to optimize content for organic traffic
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
- 3+ years content writing experience across a broad range of audiences and touchpoints
- Native fluency in English with perfect grammar, editing and proofreading skills
