**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the International Education Department Director, the International Student Program (ISP) Manager is
responsible for day-to-day operation of the ISP and its office. The ISP Manager uses professional judgment and industry
knowledge to support the ISP team and its students, homestay families and overseas parents and partner-stakeholders.
The ISP Manager acts in place of the Director, as required. This position supports the strategic actions of the Multi-Year
Strategic Plan.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
As the ISP Manager, you will:

- Use professional judgment and industry knowledge to support LRSD’s ISP team and its students, homestay

families and overseas parents and partner-stakeholders
- Promote homestay family and ISP student harmony and cooperation, developing training for hosts and resolving

conflict and compliance challenges via mediation, as required
- Act as custodian for ISP students participating in LRSD’s homestay program, and carefully monitor

ISP students who make private living arrangements
- Co-plan and facilitate local, regional and national informational and inter-cultural student experiences, including

orientations, day and overnight fieldtrips, multi-day and camp experiences
- Work closely with LRSD schools to best program for international students with varying education goals and

program entry and exit points
- Closely monitor and evaluate international student and partner satisfaction and success, acting to improve

outcomes, as required
- Support the strategic recruitment of international students through participation in organized industry events and

explore and report on new and developing markets
- Co-develop marketing plans and materials, online and in print, with and without AI and adapted for various

markets and stakeholder audiences
- Ensure that all pertinent laws of Canada and Manitoba are followed with respect to international student

programming. In addition, ensuring that all policies of the Louis Riel School Division are followed.

**QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)**:

- An undergraduate degree in education or business-related field is required. Master’s degree in education is
- considered an asset. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an International Program, supporting international students, homestays and
- schools in academic and non-academic settings. School leadership experience is considered an asset.
- Project management and the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects effectively.
- Conflict mediation training an asset.
- Previous experience in student support, recruitment and marketing, and familiarity with Immigration, Refugee, and
- Citizenship Canadian rules and regulations.
- Exemplary communication skills, team-building skills and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrating dedication, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to perform leadership and management functions.
- Intercultural competence and the ability to work with a diverse group of people and to demonstrate sensitivity to other
- cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
- Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry
- Review and comply with Divisional policies and guidelines
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License, current Driver’s Abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel within Canada and Internationally
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and on-call.
