**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the International Department Director, a Student Experience Coordinator supports ISP students’
retention and success by helping them adapt to life in Winnipeg and school in Canada. They liaise between
students’ placement schools, the ISP office, and ISP partners, organizing cultural events and activities, and
responding to known and emerging ISP student needs. The incumbent is required to travel regularly between
LRSD Board Offices and LRSD school locations and may be required to travel outside Winnipeg.
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
As a Student Experience Coordinator you will:
- Coordinate and co-coordinate cultural events, activities and experiences related to the ISP program.
- Respond to known and emerging needs of ISP students, guiding them to fulfill curricular and extracurricular
- interests and supporting them to secure mental and physical health (medical) care and supports.- Act as a Liaison for the International Student Program, its students, schools, and partner agencies.
- Support in-print and online marketing of the ISP, engaging current and future international students in
- person and via social media platforms.- Track and communicate student progress, participation and satisfaction to ISP and its partners.
- Comply with current legislation (Federal and Provincial) and L.R.S.D. Divisional Administrative Guidelinesand protocols.
**QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)**:
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field is required and five years’ experience working in high school
(preferred) or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of international student educational goals and programming, the Manitoba high school credit system, and other
countries’ education systems.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, promote, facilitate, and evaluate programs, activities, and events.
- Demonstrated ability to use social media to communicate and market student experiences and to create community.
- Demonstrated experience accessing and using student information systems.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial legislation related to international education.
- Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.

- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License, current Driver’s Abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
- Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada and internationally.
- Required to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Respect In School or equivalent training is required.
