**What’s the ask?**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain reporting/metrics to ensure the team is meeting targets and quality requirements
- Proactive, forward thinking approach to leadership
- Distribute work to the team daily, and adjust throughout the day as necessary
- Closely monitor Service Level Agreement and adjust workflow and team responsibilities as required
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and controls.
- Set priorities as well as manage multi-functional activities.
- Coordinate employee training and provide ongoing coaching, support, and feedback.
- Conduct quality review audits
- Liaise with the IT department to troubleshoot system issues and identify new automation opportunities.
- Participate in new client implementations with other departments and bring forward creative ideas and solutions.
- Participate in employee recruitment, interview, selection, and onboarding.
- Adapt and implement procedures to meet changing client needs.
- Resolve escalated client and member issues and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Manage conflict and problem resolution.
- Facilitate communication within the department.
- Lead various projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with other leaders and departments on matters pertaining to TPA business; and
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, to include inspire, motivate, engage, and lead employees
**What does it take?**
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as business administration or the equivalent training acquired from a combination of relevant work experience and education.
- Minimum 2 years group insurance benefits/insurance experience, with knowledge of health and dental insurance policies and claims processes being an asset
- A strong background in supervisory experience, including assisting in performance evaluations, training, and motivating employees
- Strong initiative, planning, and problem-solving skills, including an ability to focus on both details and results
- Excellent analytical, interpretive, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Superior interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Excellent communications skills to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences across all levels
- Comfortable presenting to groups of all sizes
- Strong coaching and effective leadership skills
- The ability to handle issues professionally and stand up well under pressure
- Proven problem solving and root cause identification skills; solution oriented
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet numerous, conflicting, and changing deadlines
- Sound judgement and critical thinking skills
- The ability to lead, act as a role model and motivate a team
- The ability to use tact, discretion, and maintain information in the strictest of confidence
- The ability to deal maturely with issues and stand up well under pressure
- Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
- Proficiency in MS Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bilingual, written, and oral (English and French), is considered an asset
- Please note the incumbent must be flexible to work overtime from time to time when required
