The Human Resources Recruiter supports the HR department by participating in the delivery of a variety of human resources services including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and creating and maintaining employment documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develops and facilitates onboarding/offboarding processes including exit interviews
- Prepares employee documentation and correspondence including but not limited to employment contracts, employment verification letters, and decline letters;
- Ensures all required new hire credentials and documentation are obtained (criminal record check, child abuse registry check, prior contact check, First aid/CPR and educational/certification credentials);
- Administers and maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation, including data input and filing, in accordance with organizational policies and privacy requirements;
- Serves as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing information and facilitating connections with the appropriate staff or departments;
- Represents the organization at job fairs and similar events, including preparing materials, setting up booths, and engaging with prospective applicants;
- Generates reports as requested such as licensing reports for program areas;
- Supplies written employment references to prospective, inquiring employers;
- Assists and provides support to the HR Consultant and HR Manager across various Human Resources functions on an as-needed basis;
- Operates essential office equipment, i.e. fax, photocopier, printer etc.;
- Demonstrates an active commitment towards professional growth and advancement through participation in training, workshops, etc.;
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management - a combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Minimum two years’ experience performing a broad range of Human Resource functions including full-cycle recruitment and exposure to payroll and benefits administration is an asset;
- Knowledge of current employment practices, human rights legislation and the employment standards code;
- Experience with human resource databases and HRIS systems is essential. Experience with Payworks is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated discretion with highly confidential information;
- Excellent computer skills with direct experience using Microsoft Office programs;
- Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to remain calm and professional while under pressure or when faced with difficult situations;
- Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Valid class 5I driver’s license, and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset;
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and clear Vulnerable Sector checks;
- Clear Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Prior Contact checks;

Salary Range: A3 $18.49 - $22.50 (Salary Under Review)
