**Job Summary**
- **EarlyON Program Facilitator**_

This permanent contract position will provide a variety of learning activities for children from 0-6. These activities will happen both on camera and on site in different locations across the region. The Program Facilitator will prepare and deliver an interactive learning program for children, their parents/caregivers, and provide support and assistance to families with all aspects within an EarlyON setting. _**This position requires for all staff to be able to work at any of our EarlyON locations, located in all corners of the Niagara Region**_

- Facilitate an early learning program focused on the physical, cognitive and social development of children between the ages of birth and six years
- Collaborate with staff, parents and children to plan and facilitate a variety of developmentally appropriate programs for families and responds to diverse cultural needs
- Listen and reflect with children, parents and peers to provide opportunities for supportive learning
- Able to organize virtual activities, and host these activities through our virtual programming using Zoom
- Awareness of the learning process and the ability to follow a child’s lead to expand learning opportunities
- Support families/caregivers by providing agency referrals and contact information in the community
- Support families in understanding the importance of interacting with their children during the program
- Attend to participants at all times during program hours
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of Port Cares and EarlyON Best Practices
- Maintain program, participant and staff confidentiality
- Maintain a professional relationship with parents and uphold a positive image of EarlyON
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment, conducive to child development in all areas of the program
- Cleaning, setting up and storing program toys, etc., and opening/closing and other administrative duties
- All other duties as assigned.

**Education, Skills and Abilities Required**
- Diploma relating to Early Childhood Education (RECE), Bachelor of Education, Child and Youth Worker or related field is an asset
- Our employees require two COVID-19 vaccination doses.
- Working knowledge of “How Does Learning Happen”
- Knowledge and skill in developing age appropriate quality early learning activities and programs for children between the ages of birth to six years
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- G Driver’s license with a clean record
- Safe Food Handling certification is an asset
- Own transportation as the ability to travel to any of our 6 locations is required (Port Colborne, Welland, Pelham, Fort Erie, Lincoln, West Lincoln)
- Clear current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- Experience using Zoom, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
- Experience in facilitating programming or workshops in an early childhood setting is an asset
- Excellent organizational, computer, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- May be required to lift items no more then 20-25lbs, transport materials between locations or work at one of our mobile locations
- A positive and outgoing attitude with children, parents, caregivers, clients and staff

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
