Established machine shop is looking for CNC operator. We have been in business for over 30 years and have never stopped evolving. We have a very clean smoke-free shop with the latest equipment and tooling. We work tirelessly to give our customers the best experience possible. This position entails the following
- Run multiple Multi-axis CNC lathes and/or mills and their loading systems (Robotic and bar feeders) to run components
- Program CNC using CAM software
- Properly set tool and work offsets and adjust accordingly
- Read and interpret drawings and other technical documents
- Use and maintain measuring tools to ensure compliance
- Identify tool wear and change consumables as needed
- Maintain job records using in line quality control to track quality and productivity

**Requirements**:
Experience: Must have a minimum 5 years CNC lathe and/or mill setup experience. A minimum of 2 years of CNC equipped with Live tooling is also required. Fanuc experience is and asset. Experience with multi-axis and multi-spindle lathe is also an asset.

Work Status: Permitted to work in Canada.

Education: Minimum High-school diploma.

Communication: Excellent communication skills in English.

Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge is required.

Physical: Must be in good health, be able to stand for long periods of time, and able to lift up to 50Lbs

Mental: Methodical, attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Lifestyle: Substance abuse free. Employee may be required to submit to a drug test.

- Cellphones are not permitted on the shop floor
- You will be required to run at least two machines
- Overtime is optional, those who don’t work overtime during extremely busy periods generally don’t fit in our team.
- All programming is done offline and posted in longhand
- We work at a fast pace and the days will go fast
- We will never ask for a vaccination record as a condition of employment

Pay: $33.27-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
