**Human Resources - Office Manager**
Genomadix is looking for a **Human Resources - Office Manager** to join our team. This is a dual-role involving a full spectrum of human resources and office management responsibilities.
The human resources component is responsible for driving HR policies and programs focused on building organizational capability and culture to increase the overall employee experience.
The office management component of this position is responsible for a variety of day-to-day office and administration duties to contribute to the effective running of the business.
**HR Management Responsibilities**
- Provide overall leadership to develop and implement human resources policies and programs focused on employee productivity and commitment.
- Oversee company culture, engagement and employer branding initiatives
- Ensure Genomadix is compliant with Federal and Provincial employment standards and health & safety legislation
- Check professional references and prepare job offers
- Ensure recruitment and personnel actions are compliant with Genomadix policies and procedures, contract requirements, and local labor law
- Conduct termination procedures, including arranging exit interviews, and collection of all equipment and termination documents
- Maintain personnel records
- Liaise with recruiters and/or posting of job ads on recruitments sites
- Oversee employee onboarding and new employee training
- Oversee Employee Assistance Program
- Own and manage Genomadix HR Information System (HiBob) and related activities
- Monitor sick, vacation, time of in lieu for employees
- Oversee employee performance management (Goals, Objectives and Key Results) as well as progress tracking and reporting for the company working with department leaders for successful implementation
- Oversee Employee Stock Option Plan with grants and exercise of options tracked and recorded
**Office Management Responsibilities**
- Supervise the booking of travel and accommodation arrangements for traveling staff and consultants
- Manage office admin to ensure sufficient office supplies, coffee, snacks are maintained
- Oversee office floorplan, coordinates internal office moves
- Active member of the Health and Safety Team
- Administration of building access (pass-cards) and parking passes for employees
- Manage utilities service agreements for office operations
- Maintain documentation on insurance, and employee benefits
- Receipt and distribution of office mail
- Prepare purchase requests and issue of purchase orders for general office related matters
- Responsible for updates to Employee handbook and related policies (travel and expenses)
- Assist with coordination of meetings for external guests
- Assist with coordination of Board of Directors meetings and presentations
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience and progressive responsibility in office administration, including at least 2 years in human resources
- Accuracy in working with large amounts of data
- Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive demands & inquiries
- Proficiency using Microsoft office suite, and other relevant software
- Demonstrated strong problem solving skills as well as exceptional customer relations (both internal & external); provides sound business judgment and contractual oversight
- Excellent communications and personnel management skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization and of different multi-cultural backgrounds
- An extremely well organized and self-directed individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
