**CNC Operator and Fabrication Apprentice**

Adlite Plastics and Lighting is a family-owned, Calgary based manufacturer of custom plastic (acrylic or polycarbonate) fabrications such as clear display cases, trays, risers, light diffuser lenses, shelving, and a wide range of custom pieces.

Our company is searching for a creative and mechanically-inclined individual to manage the design and fabrication of custom projects utilizing the CNC machine, ensuring our company produces quality products for our valued clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Product design, either from scratch or translated from engineering drawings and requirements.
- Prepare raw material (plastic) for fabrication (measure, tape, etc.)
- Set-up CNC machine for the different functions required for each specific project, including drilling, grinding and milling.
- Oversee the machine while it executes the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure it is well-maintained.
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Assist other team members with non-CNC projects, which may involve cutting, molding, prepping, sawing raw materials or wrapping final product.
- Shop cleaning.
- Other duties that may be requested from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma is preferred.
- Previous experience as a CNC machine operator would be considered an asset, but not required.
- Drafting and/or AutoCad experience would be considered an asset.
- Great attention to detail and analytical abilities - We want you to be able to interpret a client’s request, design it, and build it out of a sheet of plastic.
- Mathematic and artistically inclined.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

- Monday to Friday
