- In accordance with Northern Health’s vision, the Team Leader-Specialized Services practices under the direction of the Program Manager or designate to provide guidance and supervision to the assigned Specialized Services Teams.The Team Leader - Specialized Services functions as a member of the Specialized Services Team and applies best practice to provide competent, safe, and ethical care for people and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools, and communities. The Services Team Leader-Specialized takes a collaborative and team-based approach in program delivery and problem solving to achieve healthcare excellence. Such an approach involves nurturing a team environment of continuous learning, effective communication, trust, team building and staff acknowledgement.
- Staff to be supervised includes both clinical and administrative staff and assigned regional care providers in various fields such as Nursing, Mental Health and Addictions, and Social Work. The Team Leader
- Specialized Services collaborates with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, community agencies, and other local Specialized Services Team Leaders.
- **Shift Rotation/Hours of work**:Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30
- **Fort St. John** is known as “The Energetic City,” which reflects the large resource base of oil, natural gas, forestry and agriculture. Overlooking the Peace River, the town of Fort St John is located above the Peace River Valley and serves as the capital of the Peace River district. The population of Fort St. John is over 21,400 but it services an area of approximately 70,000. The community is the hub of the Northeast with a cultural centre and library, theatre, and art space. There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one secondary school. There is also a Northern Lights College campus. **Qualifications**:
- Baccalaureate degree (from an accredited educational institution in a social or behavioral science field relevant to the position.
- Three (3) to five (5) years recent related experience including experience in individual, family, and group modalities of practice in the clinical specialty of the assigned area, and recent experience in a leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
