Network Field Technician

**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Install and terminate cabling (CAT6, Coax, Fiber) and network hardware (switches, routers, and etc.).
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform on-site cable testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, retermination, and repairs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support DevOps initiatives and integrate APIs into existing systems.
- Conduct network performance tests and document results
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute rollout plans
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
**Skills**
- 1-3 years of hands-on network installation or field service experience
- Proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience with firewall configuration and management to ensure robust security protocols.
- Use Cisco CLI for configuring and maintaining network devices (IOS/IOS-XE/ASA/NX-OS).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools that enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Proficient with cable testing tools and configuration utilities
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within service territory
- CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting network issues.
**Physical & Other Requirements**
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal, Freelance
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
