As the Shipper / Receiver, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the shipping and receiving processes within a busy manufacturing facility. Responsibilities of this role involve preparing outbound shipments, including loading finished machines and ensuring all shipping records are complete and accurate. To excel in this position, you will have a strong level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Duties**:

- Prepare and package orders for shipments, ensuring accuracy of product and paperwork
- Create and print shipping labels and documents as required
- Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity
- Compare packing slips to the received goods and report discrepancies
- Store items in designated locations by using a counterbalance forklift
- Safely & continuously operate & perform daily inspections of a propane counterbalance forklift
- Follow safety protocols and wear prescribed personal protective equipment to prevent injuries
- Load, unload, move and pack products and materials by hand or with material handling equipment (Forklift, Overhead Crane)

**Skills and Experience**:

- Adapt to a changing work environment with competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Physical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
- Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in Shipping / receiving within a heavy manufacturing environment
- Experience operating a crane and forklift, or willingness to learn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
