**Job Opportunity**:
We are looking for an HR Generalist to undertake a variety of HR Duties. This role will facilitate daily HR functions such as recruitment, health and safety, training and development and other day-to-day tasks.

**What you’ll do**:

- Recruitment_
- Create, update and edit job descriptions and job postings - Actively recruit using variety of tools, including social media, website, and job boards
- Work with 3rd party recruitment sites to develop a recruitment strategy
- Review incoming resumes for specific criteria, and work with department managers
- Actively participate in interviews and make recommendations for new hires
- Conduct reference checks
- Work with various government agencies to receive funding for new hires
- Co-ordinate successful onboarding of new hires
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires and

contractors
- Attend job fairs
- Plan each co-op term with hiring manager, post open positions at appropriate

college/university job boards
- Safety_
- Attend and co-ordinate JHSC meetings
- Prepare and update policies and OHSMS manual as required
- Preparing Job Task Analyses of all functions
- Participating in monthly inspections, identifying and analyzing hazards
- Participate in accident and near miss investigations
- Report accidents to WSIB if necessary
- Participate in monthly inspections, identifying and analyzing hazards
- Complete Health and Safety Excellence program through Innovative’s local safety

group
- Organize safety drills and inspections (safety blitz)
- Training_
- Work with department managers to co
- ordinate annual training plan, and organize training as necessary
- Work with various government agencies to receive funding for training
- Other HR Tasks_
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
- Participate in performance management
- Participate in annual and 3-month performance reviews
- Administer benefits
- Interact daily with employees about HR matters
- Research legislation
- Participate in organizing company wide events
- Update employee information on our HRIS
- Miscellaneous requests

**What you’ll need**:

- Minimum 2-year diploma in Human Resources
- 1-2 years in Human Resources of working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
