**About the Opportunity**

The Cabinetmaker is responsible for crafting, assembling and repairing wooden cabinets and other fine wooden furniture to detailed specifications. He or she will produce quality cabinets to specification by designing and or reading blueprints and replicating past designs using hand tools and woodworking machines in a manufacturing environment. The Cabinetmaker will be responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods and have a strong knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control and safety equipment. Dedication to quality craftsmanship and the possession of mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates are essential in this role. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area, conducting regular maintenance of tools and machinery and assisting other carpenters and cabinetmakers. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

You are a creative and innovative thinker, a highly motivated self-starter with the proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. You have excellent analytical and effective problem-solving skills and take the initiative to offer solutions to improve written and verbal communication. You can set priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing environment
- Current Journey Person's Cabinetmaker's Certificate
- Certificate of Apprenticeship, Cabinetmaker
- Knowledge of carpentry
