Veterinary Receptionist

**Job Summary**
We are a veterinary clinic in Pickering, specializing in cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and small animals. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and personable individual to join our team. The responsibilities of the role include scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, greeting clients, processing payments, and addressing inquiries.
**Duties**
- Greet clients and pets in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address client queries and concerns.
- Schedule appointments while ensuring efficient flow of patients.
- Prepare patients' records for surgical intakes.
- Create patient records.
- Process payments and handle transactions.
- Prepare estimates, invoices and statements.
- Process insurance claims & submissions.
- Maintain cleanliness and a organized reception area.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain and order supplies, office equipment and or assist with other tasks as required.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the animal-care/veterinary field is mandatory.
- Experience with use in AVImark.
- Excellent verbal & communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Experience and knowledge in exotics an asset.
- Basic knowledge in veterinary terminology.
