Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant and veterinary technician

We are looking for someone to join our staff as a full time veterinary receptionist/assistant/ technician starting immediately. The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in the veterinary field and previous experience working in a veterinary clinic
  • Previous experience with DVM Manager will be an asset
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Maintain professional work ethic and confidentiality
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

The responsibilities include the following: For veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

  • Scheduling appointments, answering the phones, and admitting/discharging patients
  • Light cleaning duties (dusting, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting examination rooms and kennels)
  • Wrapping and sterilizing surgical instrument packs and gowns
  • Inventory orders
  • Restraining animals during examinations and laboratory procedures
  • Assist the veterinarian when needed

The responsibility for Technician will includes

  • Anesthesia monitoring ,
  • x-rays monitoring
  • Bandaging IV catheter placement , preparing the patient for surgery
  • Record hospitalized patients vital signs as per doctor's instructions
  • Assisting doctors for all technical works during appointments
