The Lumper/Unloader is responsible for the efficient and timely unloading of goods from trucks and containers. This role involves manually lifting, sorting, and moving products and ensuring they are placed in the correct storage areas. The Lumper/Unloader works closely with the warehouse team to maintain smooth operations and adhere to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload Trucks and Containers: Safely and efficiently unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring careful handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Sort and Organize Products: Sort products based on size, type, or SKU numbers and organize them in designated storage areas.
- Operate Equipment: Use pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment as necessary to assist in unloading and moving goods.
- Maintain Inventory Records: Assist in keeping accurate records of incoming shipments, reporting discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Team: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations, supporting loading and unloading processes as needed.
- Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Physical Requirements: Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items (up to 60 pounds).
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other general warehouse tasks, such as cleaning, inventory counts, and assisting with loading outbound trucks.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $120.00-$180.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
