**Position Summary**:
**What You Will Do**:
- Develop and maintain a standard set of risk performance reports to identify overall credit risk of the portfolio trends at a dynamic level.
- Contribute as a key member of the Risk team working primarily on the Credit Models Project to increase our credit underwriting automation and improve decision accuracy.
- Utilize financial math concepts and a robust python skillset to assist with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of various python scripts including portfolio simulation, which contribute to the overall loan portfolio risk monitoring.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis leading to credit strategy optimization across the entire credit life cycle.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders.
- Maintain continuous improvement efforts through self driven critical and curious data examination.
- Partner with Business Intelligence to validate, structure, and integrate new and existing data.
- Perform user acceptance testing for risk related functions.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
**What You Will Need to Succeed**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Management, or other relevant fields
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an analyst preferably in the lending industry
- High Proficiency in SQL, Tableau and Python
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Ability to gather and understand business requirements for statistical analysis and translate those requirements for the purpose of data collection
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (macros and advanced mathematical functions, etc.).
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate at various level of the organization and cross functionally
