With its most recent acquisitions, Heroux-Devtek is bolstering its status as one of the foremost landing gear, actuation and hydraulic system designers and manufacturers in the global aerospace industry. **Division info**: The Aerostructure Market of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components. **Summary of position**: The Assistant Controller reports to the Kitchener Controller and oversees all financial, and accounting of the plant. In addition, the incumbent will have strong organizational and teamwork skills, be organized, and can work independently with internal and external professionals at all levels. This role requires a successful Controlled Goods Program security clearance. **Main responsibilities**: - Work with Controller to complete annual 5-year budget, strategic planning, and regular forecasting. - Complete monthly & quarterly financial reporting including financial statements, - Ensure team maintains all GL account reconciliations. - Report on KPIs - Provide financial insight to all management & support all functional areas; - Liaison for annual financial audit and twice a year Bill 198 (52-109) audit - Lead annual physical inventory count and ensure cycle count process is maintained throughout year - Communicate with Corporate office on financial data and business activities (tax, insurance etc.) as required; - Other analysis and projects as required; - Lead and develop your team to be timely, accurate and efficient in release of information; **Qualifications**: **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance - At least 5 years experience in a Sr. Financial role - Functional experience with automated accounting systems - CPA designation or working towards it - Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word Outlook) and ERP software - Strong written & verbal communication skills Core Competencies - Analytical, high integrity and strong interpersonal skills - A "team player" mentality with a flexible and collaborative approach to completing tasks - Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills - Confident, personable, and professional and can take initiative - Demonstrated experience managing people - Ability to set clear and deliverable goals and follow through on them - Ability to prioritize and manage competing deliverables - Enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated - Sound judgement and accepts accountability You enjoy challenges, teamwork an a quality working environment that evolves continuously?
