As part of the Communications Department, the Translation Services team ensures that the Bank of Canada communicates effectively with its various Francophone audiences, both internal and external. The incumbent of this position will play a key role in achieving this mission, working closely with a team of 15 other translation, revision and terminology professionals.

**What you will do**

In collaboration with various clients and partners, you will manage complex projects and be accountable for the quality of the translated versions of the Bank’s internal and external publications. You will be actively involved in the efficient operation of the Translation Services unit and will take on certain management tasks as required.

You will provide expert advice to the Bank's employees, including members of Senior Management, and sometimes in a high-pressure environment.

**Nice-to-have**
- work experience as a Translator-Reviser in a structured and fairly large translation services unit
- experience in economic and financial translation
- strong knowledge of computer-assisted translation tools
- certified translator from English to French (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec or Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario)

**Your education and experience**
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation from English to French and a minimum of seven years of experience as a Translator, including three years as a Translator-Reviser

or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**What you need to know**
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

**Hybrid Work Model **#LI-Hybrid**

The Bank is conducting a trial of a hybrid working model which provides employees with the flexibility to telework for significant portions of each month. During the trial, employees will only be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role. You are expected to live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
