As part of the Communications Department, the Translation Services team ensures that the Bank of Canada communicates effectively with its various Francophone audiences, both internal and external. The incumbent of this position will play a key role in achieving this mission, working closely with a team of 15 other translation, revision and terminology professionals.

**Your education and experience**
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation from English to French and a minimum of three to five years of experience as a Translator capable of producing high quality texts that don’t need to be revised

or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Nice-to-have**
- work experience as a Translator in a structured and fairly large translation services unit
- experience in economic and financial translation
- strong knowledge of computer-assisted translation tools, especially LogiTerm
- certified Translator from English to French (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec or Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario)

**Hybrid Work Model **#LI-Hybrid**

The Bank is conducting a trial of a hybrid working model which provides employees with the flexibility to telework for significant portions of each month. During the trial, employees will only be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role. You are expected to live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $81,865 to $96,310 (job grade 16)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
