Regehr Workplace Safety Solutions Ltd. (RWSS) is currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our growing team.
Since 2007, RWSS has been a leader in providing workplace health and safety consulting services throughout British Columbia and beyond. We work with a range of different business types including powerline & electrical, construction, mining, and manufacturing. Our team works hard to create a committed, collaborative safety culture within our clients’ organizations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
As an OHS Specialist with RWSS, your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- High level management of client OSH Programs
- Incident investigations
- Complete comprehensive incident investigation
- Development of OHS Program materials (e.g., policies, procedures, exposure control plans)
- Develop site specific safety management plans
- Develop and review health and safety programs, systems, and reports for clients of varying sizes (small owner-operators to large employers), in a wide variety of industry sectors
- Conduct health and safety training and field coaching
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements of the WorkSafeBC, Ministry of Labour, and other legal and regulatory bodies
- Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulations
- Support on major projects
**Qualifications**:
- A degree, diploma, and/or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited educational institute
- CRSP or actively perusing CRSP designation
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in health and safety
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and legislation
- Strong understanding of the construction/trades industry and environment (specifically in the electrical, utility, or civil industry)

**Additional Certifications Considered an Asset**:
- Certified Industrial Hygienist
- Valid OFA 3 Certification
**Skills + Abilities**:
- Dynamic and self motivated
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders and team members with ease and competency
- Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative client relationships
- Must have a Class 5 Drivers License
