**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dog Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to dogs, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. Your expertise will help maintain the health and appearance of our furry clients while delivering exceptional customer service to their owners.

**Duties**
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of a dog's coat and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with dog owners regarding their dog's grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions.
- Handle dogs safely and gently, using proper techniques to minimize stress for both the animals and themselves.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns promptly.
- Keep accurate records of each dog's grooming history and preferences for future reference.

**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple dogs during grooming sessions.
- Proficiency in using grooming tools such as clippers, scissors, brushes, and dryers.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds, including their specific grooming requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results.
- Patience and compassion when working with animals to create a calm environment during the grooming process.

Pay: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V6H 0B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- dog grooming: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Dog Grooming Certification (preferred)

Work Location: In person
