MAC'S SUSHI is looking for a Sushi Chef to join our team in Ottawa, ON. We are a small sushi restaurant with a small kitchen. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sushi and wants to grow with the company.

**About the Role**:
The role of Sushi Chef at MAC'S SUSHI is to prepare sushi for our customers while upholding high standards of quality and cleanliness. The position requires the Chef to be able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining consistency in all aspects of the job. The position requires a high level of attention to detail and knowledge of food safety standards. The position requires that you have a good working knowledge of sushi rice, fish, and other ingredients, as well as know how to maintain a clean work area and kitchen.

**Duties**:

- Prepare sushi rice, fish, and other ingredients according to recipes
- Prepare ingredients such as sauces, seasonings, and condiments
- Maintain a clean work area in the kitchen
- Follow recipes precisely to prepare food that meets quality standards
- Handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards at work place
- Work with other departments in the kitchen to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform other related duties as assigned by manager or chef
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
