**Position Summary**

We are seeking a **Part-Time Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician (Grave Yard Shift)** to join our team.
This role requires someone who can **work independently with mínimal supervision**, maintain a high standard of workmanship, and represent the company professionally during after-hours operations.

Shifts take place **at night**, typically after restaurants close, to ensure safe and uninterrupted cleaning.

You will be responsible for cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, oil filters, ductwork, and rooftop exhaust fans, ensuring each system meets NFPA 96 fire safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform complete kitchen exhaust system cleaning, including:

- Hood/canopy cleaning
- Filter degreasing
- Scraping and degreasing of ductwork
- Rooftop exhaust fan cleaning
- Stainless-steel polishing
- Operate pressure washers, chemicals, and cleaning tools safely
- Work independently to complete jobs on a **night shift schedule**:

- Ensure each system is cleaned to bare metal following company standards
- Maintain detailed job documentation with before/after photos
- Represent Crystal Sterling professionally at all customer sites
- Follow all safety protocols, including fall protection and LOTO
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and company vehicle

**Physical Requirements**

This position is physically demanding and includes:

- Ability to work full shifts **at night**:

- Climbing ladders up to rooftop level
- Lifting/carrying **up to 50 lbs**:

- Squatting, kneeling, crawling, and working in confined spaces
- Standing for **up to 8 hours**:

- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
- Comfortable working around grease, cleaning chemicals, and pressure washers

**Qualifications**
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of demanding work
- Willingness to learn technical cleaning processes
- Experience in labour, trades, or cleaning roles is an asset but not required — we provide full training
